1. Choose a scheme and layout. The builder shows the targets available for that combination. Some compact layouts are Yuanshu-only.
2. Try the generated keyboard. Wait for the Rime engine to load, type a few familiar phrases, and select a candidate. Typing stays in your browser.
3. Build and unzip your package. Check the included instructions and preview images. Back up your existing input-method configuration first.
4. Install in your input app. For desktop Rime, merge the package configuration into your Rime user directory and redeploy through your input app. Review default.custom.yaml before replacing an existing file. For Yuanshu, use the app’s import workflow and the package instructions for schemas and skins.
5. Check on the real device. Test your sample phrases, candidate selection, delete, shift, symbols, and swipes. Browser previews cannot verify native keyboard switching, dismissal, or the system emoji picker.
